Instructions
Make The Watermelon Juice
*This watermelon margarita punch requires 8 cups of watermelon juice. All watermelons yield different amounts of juice. I recommend purchasing 2 seedless watermelons.
Drape a cheese cloth over a strainer with a bowl beneath. Set aside.
Cut a seedless watermelon in half. Scoop out all of the watermelon as close to the rind as possible. Add the watermelon into a blender. Blend on high until the watermelon is liquified.
Pour the watermelon liquid over prepared bowl. Gently squeeze the cloth.
Rim The Punch Bowl and Add Garnishes
Rub honey or coconut around the rim of punchbowl, roll in Sparkling Sugar or Margarita Salt.
Mixology
Fill a punch bowl 1/2 full with ice. Drop in watermelon triangles and lime slices.
Next, add the watermelon juice, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, tequila, and Cointreau into a punch bowl. Give it a gently stir.
Notes
Store Watermelon Margarita Punch in the refrigerator for 2 days.
See post for picking the perfect watermelon.
To make simple syrup, boil 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar stirring until sugar is dissolved. Chill.
