Ingredients
  

  • 12 .09 ounce mini brie bites or an 8 ounce wheel of brie
  • 1 puff pastry sheet thawed
  • 1 large egg yolk optional
  • 1 tablespoon water optional
  • candy eyes

Instructions
 

Mini Baked Brie Mummy Bites

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lightly flour a work surface and gently unfold the puff pastry sheet. Cut the pastry sheet into 1/8 inch strips.
  • Optional: If you are using pralines, press them into one side of the mini brie bites (photo below).
  • Wrap the tiny brie wheels with the strips of the puff pastry. Pinch the puff pastry strips on the on the back side to secure. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Press in the candy googly eyes.
  • Optional: Whisk together the egg yolk and a splash of water in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the brie bites.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the puff pastry turns golden brown and the cheese oozes a little.
  • Serve warm. Enjoy!

Large Baked Mummy Brie Wheel Instructions

  • Use the above recipe cutting the puff pastry strips 1/2 to 1" in width and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

  2. Keep an eye on the brie bites. They are done when the puff pastry is golden brown.
