Creamy! Zesty! Oh Yum! This “Best Homemade Easy Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Sauce Recipe” is a show-stopping dip or sauce for vegetables, meat, or sandwiches. Grab your aprons! We are making Greek Tzatziki Dip!
1/2English cucumberskin removed and seeds scooped out
2teaspoonssalt
2cupsplain Greek yogurtfull fat
2tablespoonsfresh lemon juice
1tablespoonlemon zest
2garlic cloveminced
1/3cupfresh dillchopped
3tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
1/2teaspoonsalt
2teaspoonsblack pepper
Instructions
Make The Tzatziki
Add the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic cloves, chopped dill, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Set aside.
Using a grater, grate the prepared cucumber. Using a cheese cloth or a paper towel, squeeze out as much juice as possible. (Save the juice for lemonade or ice water.)
Add the cucumber into the mixing bowl and stir to combine.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
Spoon into a pretty dip before serving and garnish.
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with fresh dill and drizzle with more olive oil (olive oil optional). Serve with soft or baked pita chips.
