Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into a small bowl. Set aside.
Add the butter, milk, sour cream, egg, vanilla, and sugar into a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix to combine. Stir in the blueberries.
The fun part! Spoon the blueberry jam on top of the Baked Blueberry Doughnut batter. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold the blueberry jam into the batter no more than 4 folds. SWIRLS ONLY!
Add the batter into a large ziplock bag and gently pipe into the prepared donut pans filling only 1/2 way full.
Bake The Blueberry Doughnuts
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until just golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes. Place the cooled donuts onto a baking rack. Run a knife gently around the edges of the Baked Blueberry Donuts to help release them from the pan if necessary.
Time To Dip The Doughnuts
One at a time, brush each blueberry doughnut all over with the melted butter then quickly dip and coat in the lemon sugar generously. Place back on the baking rack.
Notes
Be careful to gently swirl the blueberry jam in the doughnut batter. Otherwise the color will be grey.
Of course you can use other fruits with matching jams. Simply replace with recipe ingredients. Suggestions in the post.
