How long Do You Boil Corn?
Corn doesn’t take long to cook. Whether boiling on the cob or frying, it only takes three to five minutes for corn to cook.
Easy Wild Violet Sweet Corn Salsa
- 3 cups fresh wild violet corn kernels, *cooked (see notes below), Sweet yellow corn is tasty too!
- 1 cup and/or yellow, orange, red sweet peppers, seeded and diced
- small red onion, diced
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup cilantro, removed from stem and chopped
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 limes, zested and juiced
- sea salt
- ground pepper
- 1 bag of your favorite tortilla chips
Sweet Corn Salsa Instructions
Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and toss gently to combine. Cover and chill the corn salsa in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Transfer to a pretty dish and garnish with lime slices and cilantro sprigs. Serve with tortilla chips.
Sweet Corn Salsa Notes
A Few Ways To Cook Corn…
- Grill the corn (on cob) on medium high heat for about 5 minutes turning constantly. I prefer to rub butter on first with a dash of salt and pepper.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the corn (on cob) for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Cut the corn cut off the cob and sau·té in butter or oil for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Keep the corn in the husk and microwave for 2-3 minutes. This steams the corn.

Ingredients

- 1 cup feta cheese crumbled
- 1/4 cup cilantro removed from stem and chopped

- 3 limes zest and juice
- sea salt
- ground pepper
- 1 bag of your favorite tortilla chips
