Strawberry Basil Tequila Soda Recipe
Makes 1 cocktail.
Ingredients
RIM
- Sweet Basil Sugar or Sanding Sugar
- honey or coconut oil
STRAWBERRY BASIL COCKTAIL
- 3 large strawberries, stem removed
- 2 fresh basil leaves
- 2 fresh lime slices
- 1 ounce tequila blanco
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 ounces soda water
GARNISH
- Fresh Strawberry
- Basil Leaf
Instructions | Mixology
Rim The Glass
Rub coconut oil or honey around the rim of the glass and roll in Sweet Basil Sugar or Sanding Sugar.
Muddle The Strawberries and Basil
Add the strawberries, basil. and lime slices into a mixing glass. Using a muddler, muddle (smash the basil, lime, and strawberries together to release flavors) for 10 seconds.
Mixology
Add the tequila and lime juice in and give it a stir.
Carefully fill the rimmed glass 1/2 way with ice. Pour the Strawberry Basil mixture over the ice and top with the sparkling soda.
Garnish
Ganish with a basil leaf, strawberry, and a lime wedge on a cocktail skewer.

- 1 ounce tequila blanco
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 ounces soda water
