What are Pop Rocks And Why Do They Pop?
The candy pops and fizzes when they hit your tongue and woah baby they are fun to eat!
The candy contains small bubble of carbon dioxide under high pressure. When they touch water (your tongue) the candy shell melts. Therefore, the carbon dioxide escapes and melts.

Spooky Fizzy Pop Rock Potato Chips Recipe
Ingredients
- 10 Ounces White Chocolate Chopped
- 1 tablespoon refined coconut oil
- 8 ounces ruffled potato chips
- 4 packets Pop Rocks (multiple colors)
- nonpareils for Sprinkling
- candy googly eyes, different sizes
Spooky Fizzy Pop Rock Potato Chips Recipe Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Using clean hands, gently lift the whole potato chips into a large bowl letting all the crumbs and tiny bits fall to the bottom of the bag. Set aside.
Add the white chocolate and the coconut oil into and melt in the microwave stirring every 15 seconds until smooth and melted.
Next, drizzle the chips with melted chocolate incrementally tossing as you go until all the potato chips are coated.
This is where the chips turn spooky!
Quickly and carefully dump the coated chips onto the prepared baking sheet into one layer.
While the chocolate is still wet sprinkle with fizzy rocks and sprinkles.
Place a googly eye or three on each Spooky Fizzy Pop Rock Potato Chips.
Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
