Last week my husband and I stopped in a beverage shop to pick up a few bottles of Witching Hour wine to Booze our neighbors and get the Booze-ing Game started in our neighborhood.
While There, We Ran Across A Pretty Bottle Of Purple Liquid THAT HAS A SHIMMERING SPARKLE WHEN YOU GIVE IT A STIR! WHAAAAT! AMAZING!
My mind began to spin with a drink idea for Sparking Charm. So, here you go! A Purple Purple Smoking ….

What Does Prosecco Taste Like
Prosecco has a sweet fruity taste with notes of green apple, honeydew, pear, and honeysuckle. You can be found in most grocery stores.
DRY ICE
Dry ice is what really brings the magic to this cocktail. You can find it in your local grocery stores and super stores like Walmart.

WHEN to Add The Dry Ice To The Shimmering Witches’ Brew?
The dry ice is for a spooky vibe when the cocktail is served. I recommend adding just a few tiny chips to each glass then serving on a tray on a table. When dry ice (carbon dioxide) dissipates, serve the cocktails to your guests. Be sure to click the links above!!!

I purchased these Halloween cat stem glasses at Home Goods and they have carried these or a version of them (Cute Skeleton – Hand) every year since. You can also find them on ebay. I initially purchased 8 and have collected 14 🐈⬛ between T J Maxx, Marshall’s, Home Goods, and ebay.

Shimmering Witches Brew Recipe
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Viniq Original (purple), chilled
- 2 ounces Prosecco, chilled
- dry ice, small pieces (I picked dry ice up at a local grocery store. Take a cooler and gloves.)
Mixology
Pick a perfect glass. Pour the Viniq in. Top it off with a splash of with Prosecco. Drop in a small cube of dry ice just before serving.
Avoid consuming until Dry Ice has fully dissipated! (Do not ingest dry ice! Do not let it touch your skin.)
TIP! This makes a great punch bowl drink. Add Equal parts Viniq and Prosecco. Toss the dry ice in. Serve when Dry Ice has fully dissipated! (Do not ingest dry ice! Do not let it touch your skin.)
Can’t Find Viniq? No Worries! Try this Option
If you cannot find or order Viniq here is an equally lovely cocktail without it.
Simply replace the Viniq with your favorite vodka, add a small dot of purple liquid food coloring, and a dash of shimmer powder and mix. Then, follow mixology as directed.

So do you take out the dry ice before drinking or does it melt away and is it safe to drink
Hello Valerie! Great question.DRY ICE IS VERY DANGEROUS to consume! I recommend only using a tiny piece in each drink for effect. 🙂 Dry ice dissipates quickly. Hello There Phillippee! Thank you for taking time to write me. I am sure some may have the same question. I will add the info to the recipe too. You can find dry ice at most any grocery store with a meat department. You can request it at the service desk or the meat department. Wal Mart keeps it in a cooler at the front of their stores and can be requested at checkout. You can also get it at most meat markets by calling ahead. BE SURE TO TAKE A COOLER AND GLOVES!
