Original Hot Frosty Holiday Cocktail
How The Hot Frosty Melting Snowman Cocktail Was Inspired
Scrolling Netflix my husband and I ran across a Christmas movie called “Hot Frosty.” It is about a snowman that melts and is shirtless most of the movie. I was in the middle of planning a Cupcakes and Cocktails Holiday Birthday party for my dear friend Jess, my husband suggested I use ice cream to make a melting snowman in a glass. I took it from there and decided on a lemon or coconut sorbet for the melting snowman with a splash of prosecco just before serving. To make it a HOT Frosty! I added HOT little men in bathing suits.
…The Big Idea! Just like the movie, the snowman melts and turns into a hot guy. The Hot Guy is climbing out of the cocktail glass.

Makes 6 Easy Winter Cocktails
Holiday Hot Frosty Ingredients
This Easy Winter Cocktail Recipe has just a few simple ingredients.
Note: In the photos there are two different glasses used. The coupe glasses are a vintage antique find. The wine glasses I used are the polka dot Kate Spade Wine glasses. A wine glass is a great alternative when you are serving over 15 and you want your glasses to match. I purchased them at Home Goods.
Hot Frosty Instructions
Beginning Notes! It is important to work quickly. Avoid concern when the Hot Frosty snowmen melt a bit in the glass. That is part of the charm. The snowmen melt and turn into a Hot Frosty climbing out of the glass. 😉
Prepare a place in your freezer that will hold your Hot Frosty Cocktail glasses. I recommend using a baking sheet to set them on.
WORK AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE! Using a 2 tablespoon scoop, scoop two lemon sorbet balls and stack them in the bottom of a cocktail glass. Then using the a 1 tablespoon scoop, scoop just one sorbet ball. Stick a carrot in the ball for the snowman nose and two chocolate chips for the eyes. Carefully place the snowman head on top of the two stacked sorbet balls. Hang a drink buddy on the cup and place in the prepared place in your freezer for at least 2 hours.
Before serving, pop the cork/s on your bubbles. Remove the snowmen from the freezer. Top with prosecco or champagne. Enjoy!
Hot Frosty Cocktail Recipe Variations
Use raisins for the snowman eyes.
Swap prosecco for champagne.
Swap the lemon sorbet for coconut sorbet.
