Knife and Fork BLTAC Grilled Salad with Salted Lemon Drizzle

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 head romaine lettuce, cut lengthwise
2 slices cooked bacon, crumbled into pieces
8 heirloom cherry tomatoes, slices into halves
1/2 avocado, chopped
1 cooked chicken breast, sliced
2 ounces gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
2 lemons, cut into halves
salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Brush cut halves lettuce with oil and lightly season with salt and pepper.

2. Pour salt onto a small dish.

3. Place lemon halves flesh down and twist to coat with salt.

4. Sear the lemons and salted side down on a hot grill for 30 seconds.

5. Lay the lettuce halves on the hot grill for 30 seconds. Using tongs carefully flip the lettuce for another 30 seconds and plate.

6.  Sprinkle the  grilled lettuce with crumbled crispy bacon, halved heirloom cherry tomatoes, avocado, and the crumbled gorgonzola cheese.

7. Place the sliced chicken breast beside the salad and drizzle with the salted grilled lemon.
