How The Classic Azalea Cocktail Got Its Name
The state flower of Georgia and the signature flower of The Masters is the stunning azalea. Just in time for the tournament, there are over thirty varieties of azaleas that color the National Golf Club course in Augusta with fantastic blooms. The famous 13th hole is has over 1,000 bushes and with no surprise named “The Azalea.” Therefore, it just makes sense that The Masters signature cocktail be and the Azalea cocktail is the signature cocktail for the tournament.

- Vodka or Gin
- Pineapple Juice
- Lemon Juice
- Grenadine

How To Make The Classic Azalea Cocktail
Azalea Cocktail Ingredients
- 2 ounces of good vodka or gin if you prefer
- 2 ounces of pineapple juice
- 1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
- splash grenadine
Azalea Cocktail Garnish Ideas
- fresh or candy lemon wedges
- maraschino cherries
- mint sprig

Mixology | Instructions
Combine the vodka or gin, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and grenadine in a large glass or a mixing pitcher with ice and stir. Strain the mixture into an ice filled glass. (I used this fun round golf ball ice mold.) Garnish with a lemon wedge, a mint sprig and cherries.
There you have it! The Azalea Cocktail! ENJOY!

Azaleas are toxic. Avoid using them as a garnish. It would be pretty, but don’t do it!
