This is an oldie but a goodie that I pulled from my recipe box for a 4th of July picnic. You may recognize the ingredients using oyster crackers verses whole saltines. It really is fantastic on any salty cracker you choose. Today I am sharing this spicy tasty treat recipe with YOU!

Ingredients

Units Scale

2 sleeves saltine crackers
1/2 cup olive oil
1 package ranch dressing mix ( Italian Dressing Mix is Fantastic TOO!)
2 tbsp of Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F°.

In a large mixing bowl gently add two sleeves of saltines.

Using a measuring cup, mix the ranch dressing powder, red pepper flakes, and olive oil thoroughly. Get out all the lumps. Slowly drizzle the oil mixture over the crackers and gently toss without breaking the crackers.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the crackers on top. Bake the crackers for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and completely cool on a cookie rack. Serve right away or store in an airtight container or a ziplock for up to three weeks.
