Easy Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Recipe
Best Tzatziki Ingredients
- 1/2 English cucumber, skin removed and seeds scooped out
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt, full fat
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 garlic clove, minced
- 1/3 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
Instructions
Make The Tzatziki
Add the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic cloves, chopped dill, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Set aside.
Using a grater, grate the prepared cucumber. Using a cheese cloth or a paper towel, squeeze out as much juice as possible. (Save the juice for lemonade or ice water.)
Add the cucumber into the mixing bowl and stir to combine.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
Spoon into a pretty dip before serving and garnish.
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with fresh dill and drizzle with more olive oil (olive oil optional). Serve with soft or baked pita chips.
