Christmas Cut-Away Candy Wreath Instructions
Push a wreath pin into the back of the foam wreath form for hanging. Add a dab of hot glue to secure. This is the top of the wreath.
Tie the ribbon on to the form at the bottom of the wreath form leaving a long end on the ribbon. Snip off the shortest end. (See video.)
Add a 3 to 5 inch strip of hot glue to the wreath. While hot, gently press the edge of the candy wrapper in the glue. Avoid pressing the candy flat down.
Glue the candy in circular layers until full. Leave the back flat. (See video.)
Tie on the scissors.
Hang it somewhere fabulous for everyone to enjoy!
Notes

I have seen these wreaths where you tie the candy on but I haven’t seen one before where they are glued on. Couldn’t the hot glue leak into the wrapper and get on the actual candy and make it unsafe to eat? Thanks !
Hello There Melissa! Good Morning and GREAT question! 🙂 Please note the glue is added to the wreath first in small lines versus directly to each piece of candy. Also note that the candy is added at the wrappers edge. I have never had an issue with the glue melting the wrapper through to the candy using this method. I will indeed add notes to the post to reminding people to add glue to the wreath first. I would love to see your personal Sparkle Spin on the candy wreath. Send me photos: gwyn@sparklingcharm.com PS Hobby Lobby has super cute holiday scissors this year.
I love this for a craft with my kids!
