A quick note on the feather boa…
*When choosing the feather boa for these shoes, I could not find a color I loved for the red block heeled sandals. I purchased the feather boa in white and died it to the desired color.
How I did it: In a clear glass, add two tablespoons of white vinegar, liquid food coloring (The amount will vary depending on the color chosen. I used 2 tablespoons of red liquid coloring.), and 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the coloring is combined. Wet the feather boa and squeeze the clear water out carefully. Submerge the feathers in the hot liquid dye. Let them set for 30 minutes. Remove from the liquid dye and carefully squeeze the water/dye out. Blow the feather boa dry with a blow dryer.
To begin, measure the top of the surface that will be covered with the feather boa. Cut the feather boa to that length. Carefully squeeze a thin line of E6000 Glue across the toe of the shoe. Let it set for 30 seconds. From the left to right, gently press the feather boa piece in the glue. Use clothespins or a chip clips to secure the feather boa in place. Remove the clips once the glue is set. Let the shoes dry completely.
Voilà! SHOE CRUSH 101! SLIP ON THESE DARLING THINGS AND JOIN ME IN RULING THE WORLD IN PRETTY SHOES!
