DIY Pretty Painted Rope Bowls
DIY Pretty Painted Rope Bowls
Shopping in a local boutique this past weekend. I saw a set of lovely rope bowls that I couldn’t take my mind off of.
SO…I am decided to make my own set right at home.
This easy peasy weekend DIY will add a fun pop of color to any room.
And you can make a couple of sets for gifts in no time!

DIY Gold Polka Dot Coffee Cups
DIY Pretty Painted Rope Bowls
Supplies
cotton rope
acrylic paints in your favorite colors
popsicle stick
hot glue gun
glue sticks
scissors
Instructions
1. Trim off the unraveled ends of the rope and add a dab of hot glue to stop continued fraying.
2. With the glued end of the rope, add a short line of glue and begin curling the rope into a tight spiral.
3. Continue adding short lines of glue and continue pressing tightly until the bowls base reaches a desired circumference.
4. To build the walls of the bowl, continue the same process by gradually gluing, wrapping, and pressing slightly higher until your reach the desired height.
5. To finish, tuck the end into a loop and glue.
6. Paint or keep them just the way they are.
