Cream Cheese Shimmer Mints Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (MY FAVORITE!)
- 5 cups powdered sugar
- gel food coloring, your choice
- paint brush
- Silver Luster Dust
Shimmer Mints Instructions
Add the cream cheese, butter, and peppermint extract to a mixing bowl and beat at medium high speed until combined.
Gradually add in the powdered sugar and continue to mix well (+/- powdered sugar as needed).
Options for shaping Cream Cheese Mints
- Roll into a 12 inch ropes and slice.
- Roll into small balls and press with a glass or a fork.
- Roll out the mint mixture and cut out with a small cookie cutter. Perhaps pick a cutter to match your party theme or the season.
Dry for 24 hours on baking sheet.
Paint on the luster dust. SO PRETTY!
