Cranberry Pecan Brie Christmas Tree Appetizer
Makes 16
Cranberry Pecan Brie Ingredients
- 1 wheel brie
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 cup candied pecans
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 cup maple syrup or honey
- 16 mini salami sticks or pretzel sticks (I get these at Trader joe’s)
- edible gold leaf flakes
TOOLS YOU’LL NEED
Instructions
Finely chop the parsley, pecans, and dried cranberries or add to a food processor and pulse just until chopped. Pour onto a plate.
Pour the honey or maple syrup onto a separate plate.
Cut the brie wheel into eighths. Slice each triangle in half to create two triangles.
Stick a salami stick in the center of the curve in each brie piece.
Dip the brie cheese side into honey then gently press into the pecan cranberry mixture.
Place on a lovely tray. Serve alone or with crostini or crackers.
