Blueberry Lemon Thyme Smash Cocktail Recipe
Makes 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
Blueberry Lemon Thyme Smash Mix
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 lemon slice
- 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons blueberry jam
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
- 1/2 ounce elderflower liqueur (St. Germain)
- 1/2 cup ice
- sparkling water
Lemon Thyme Sugar For Rimming
- zest 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons granulated or sparkling sugar
- 1 teaspoon thyme leaves, minced
Garnish
- lemon slice
- fresh blueberries
- fresh thyme sprigs
TOOLS YOU’LL NEED
Instructions
Lemon Thyme Sugar
Add the lemon zest sugar, and thyme into a small bowl and whisk with a fork. Pour onto a shallow plate.
Rim The Glass
Rub the rim of the glass with honey or coconut oil. Roll the glass in the Lemon Thyme Sugar. Add a lemon slice. Fill the glass 1/2 full with ice.
Blueberry Lemon Thyme Smash Mixology and Garnish
Add the blueberries, thyme, lemon juice and lemon slice, into a cocktail mixing glass and muddle for 5 seconds to release juices. Add the blueberry jam, bourbon or tequila, elderflower liqueur, and ice. Stir briskly to combine. Carefully strain into the prepared glass. Top with sparkling water. Give it a gentle stir. Add a few blueberries, and a sprig of thyme to garnish. ENJOY!
