  1. Baking soda or baking powder?

    1. Hi There! I used baking powder in this recipe. 🙂 However, I usually use baking soda when making a recipe that includes an acidic ingredient like buttermilk or a citrus juice because baking powder includes the acid needed to produce carbon dioxide. If you don’t have baking powder on hand for this recipe, you can absolutely use baking soda. Thanks for the question! 🙂 Gwyn

Hi again, I apologize for the confusion! I put baking powder in the ingredients and soda in my instructions. I fixed that! Thank you for the question! HELPFUL! 🙂 gwyn

  2. I think you may have forgotten the step to add the flour ingredients into the wet ingredients! Otherwise great recipe!

    1. Jennifer! Oh my gosh thanks so much! I see where I had you whisk and “set aside.” I am glad the dry ingredients are not still “Setting Aside” on your counter. I also forgot to write, “until just combined” and “avoid overmixing.” 🤦🏻‍♀️ I fixed that in the recipe and on the recipe printable! I appreciate you! Thank you taking a few minutes to point that out. Happy Day YOUR WAY! -gwyn
