Purple Cabbage
MEATS
- Prosciutto, thinly sliced
- Soppressata Salami, thinly sliced
- Bresaola, thinly sliced
CHEESES
- Gorgonzola, cubed or sliced
- Brie
- Gruyère, cubed or sliced
- Red Pepper Gouda, cubed or sliced
FRUIT
- champagne grapes
- blackberries
- dried apricots
- fresh figs, sliced
- dragon fruit, peeled and sliced
- fresh coconut, cut Fun Fact: Coconut isn’t a nut or a fruit. It is a seeded drupe.
- black olives, I had no idea until this moment that an olive was a fruit.
VEGETABLES
- black radishes
NUTS
- roasted almonds
- brazil nuts
THE EXTRA + WHERE TO GET THE FUN STUFF
- raw honey comb
- anemones, If you can’t find fresh cut, these diy paper anemones work great for spooky eyes.
- Glitter Spiders
- Wizard of Oz Red Slipper Door Stop (I found this in Kansas at a small boutique. I did see several on eBay.
- Black Felt Spider Web Placemats
One/Two/Three/Four/Five Round Meat and Cheese Boards
Directions
1. Purple Cabbage: This looks spooky and pretty at the same time. Place three to five purple cabbage leaves on your board. Odd numbers are best.
2. Add the cheeses to the board.
3. Add the sliced cured meats to the board.
4. Add the honey comb to a purple cabbage leaf for a bowl.
5. Fill in the board with the fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
6. Add two Anemones at the top of the grapes to create a spooky face.
7. Add the spiders.
8. Take a good look at your board and adjust to a fun array of spooky delight!
