Best Apple Cider Donut Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 apple cider donuts, stale – cut into 1″ pieces
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar + more for topping
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup apple butter (optional)
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced (optional)

Apple Cider Donut Bread Pudding Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray an 8 cup baking dish with cooking spray.

Whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, granulated sugar until combined and sugar has dissolved.

Tear the stale apple cider donuts into one inch pieces and place in the prepared baking dish. (Toss with the optional chopped apples.) Pour the custard over the apple donuts. Gently press down into the custard with a rubber spatula. Let the custard soak into the donuts for 15 minutes. Spoon on the optional apple butter. Sprinkle on the extra brown sugar.

Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake another 30 minutes or until the custard sets.
