I make them for holidays, celebrations, movie watch weekends, and even toss them together quickly for drop-in guests with mix and match things from our refrigerator and cabinets. Charcuterie boards are always a win.
When I make these, I often get the same question just before a participant digs in. It goes something like this…
“Gwyn, How in the world do you put so many things in a pile on a piece of wood and make it pretty and enticing at the same time?”
Answer:
I have one no fail tip and will work on any type of board you choose for any occasion.

What Goes on A Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board
Shout Out! The majority of the items on my board are from Fresh Market. They always have unique seasonal items for every occasion. The customer service is always wonderful.
- Fresh Strawberries (Fresh Market has strawberries with stems.)
- Raspberries
- Peekaboo Pineberries “Pink Strawberries” from Wish Farms (I purchased these these at Fresh Market.)

Charcuterie Board: I used a marble lazy susan round board. I love this one too! The gold edge is lovely! Of course a large cutting board works too!

Pull It All Together
1. Wash and dry your the surface of the board and wash your hands.
2. Gather and prep all of the ingredients for your board.
3. Now for my major “uno spark-tacular tip I have been referring to.
It is all about the odd numbers three or one. Today I am working mainly with the three. Let me show you…
Pick an any item and place it in three random places on your board.
4. Move on to the next item. Below I used three small piles of Valentine’s Candy Corn.
5. Three spots! It doesn’t matter how many of the item/s that are in one of the three spots for each item.
