A Pretty Peachy Peach Flower Arrangement
Have you ever considered adding adding a little fruit to a bouquet or an arrangement!
Well friends! Let me tell you how the Sparkle Lightning struck!
Shopping at the Old Town Alexandria Saturday Farmers Market a few weekends ago I picked up this bouquet of flowers from a kind fellow named Dan. His wife puts seasonal bouquets together weekly and he brings them to market. I always look forward to his friendly greeting as he proudly wraps his sweethearts lovely creations.
Back to my story…
After shopping, I sat down to people watch and enjoy a cool watermelon tea with my own sweetheart. In the midst of this Saturday morning bliss the cutest little boy was rolling a gigantic peach like a ball across a wooden gazebo floor adjacent to me. The peach rolled right up beside me as if it were running to hide in my bouquet and demanding it was not a ball but a beautiful peach that simply wanted to hang with its flower friends.

Supplies
- 1 bouquet of your favorite flowers
- vase
- 3 or 5 firm pretty peaches
- green flower foam cut to fit glass, 2″ high
- skewers
- wire cutters
Sparkle Tip! If you aren’t using a cut or decorative vase and do not want the stems and the flower foam to show in your vase, wrap the bottom with a piece of fabric and tie with a bow, or grab your glue gun and rope and wrap the vase gluing as you go (as seen in above photo.) You could also try this fun Sparkling Charm Personalized Vase.
Instructions
1. Place the green flower foam in the bottom of the vase and fill 3/4 full with cool water.
Sparkle Tip! Use slightly warm if you are using hydrangeas in your arrangement. Cold water causes hydrangeas to droop.
2. Clip the stems of the flowers to a desired length at a 45° angle and arrange them in the water.
Note: When cutting your flowers, keep in mind that they don’t need to pierce the green flower foam.
3. Cut the dull end of the wooden skewers to a desired length and stick them into the firm peaches.
4. Carefully place the skewered peaches into the arrangement puncturing the green flower foam to hold into place.
Easy Peasy! Now pour yourself a cup of tea, sit back and gaze at your masterpiece.

Love love love this, Gwyn! For my wedding rehearsal dinner, my mother-in-law had centerpieces made with whole peaches in water in clear glass cylinders. Large peach roses were placed on top. I don’t know how the stems were covered by the peaches but they were. It was a beautiful tribute to my southern roots! ?
Thank you Georgia Peach Jana! I love fruit in floral arrangements! Do you have photos from the wedding? I would love to see. Hugs your way! XXOO -g
